About UNCORKED!

UNCORKED! is the signature annual fundraiser hosted by the Baltimore Chapter of the National Association of Catering Executives (NACE), and benefits the chapter, the Foundation of NACE, and a local food-based charity. UNCORKED! is unique in Baltimore, as it is the only fundraiser that incorporates education, design, and food and wine pairings. Our goal is to provide great wine education, extraordinary food pairings and gorgeous designs in an exciting and enticing program that attracts both NACE and non-NACE members alike. In doing so, we continue to build on the reputation of the previous UNCORKED! galas and help to insure that this fabulous annual fundraiser will grow and increase revenue each year. Funds are raised through ticket sales, silent auction and sponsorship, and costs for the event are deferred by in-kind donations to maximize the revenue for the benefactors of the fundraiser. This year, the chapter has a lofty goal of raising $50,000.

Our local beneficiary this year is Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland (MOW). Last year, over 2,000 Meals on Wheels volunteers delivered over 743,000 meals to 2,964 homebound clients. With the monetary help of our chapter, we hope to increase those numbers, helping Meals on Wheels to reach farther, and make a bigger impact. The chapter’s other beneficiary, the Foundation of NACE, provides educational opportunities to the hospitality industry to keep it going strong.
